In November, after we announced our plan to have a tour of Michigan to coincide with a PAWS ride in Door County WI, several folks expressed an interest and signed up for either one or both.  The PAWS tour did fill up quickly, (link below). 

PAWs Tour

We are continuing to encourage anyone who might have an interest in the Michigan portion of the trip to contact us.

We are planning on beginning the cycling adventure in NW Michigan starting Monday (Labor Day 9/4) or Tuesday 9/5/23 – Saturday 9/9/23. We will stay 2-3 nights in Grand Rapids (9/4 – 9/6/23). Grand Rapids is about 180 miles from CLE. On Thursday, 9/7, we will travel from Grand Rapids to Traverse City, about 150 miles.  We are planning on 2 nights in Traverse City, Thursday 9/7 and 9/8.  You can always stay additional nights if your plans permit.  Those planning on continuing on to the PAWS ride in Door County have reserved a night in Manistique, Upper Peninsula Michigan on 10/9.  (It’s about halfway to Sturgeon Bay where the PAWS ride starts). 

For the Grand Rapids/Traverse City portion of the trip, where are several RWGPS maps along the various bike trails in the area. The rides will be on your own. Several route options will be available for each day. We plan to have everyone make their own hotel reservations. Let us know if you are interested in joining us in Grand Rapids and/or Traverse City and we can let you know about possible accommodations. 

Everyone will be responsible for getting to the area and transitioning to the next location.
