NEW YEAR'S DAY RIDE

Paraphrasing from Ed Stewart's eloquent history of the ride from the write up last year:

This ride is as old as the Club, and has been undertaken in bad weather and good.  Some people always ride - probably the folks who want to try out recently received new gear/bikes.

Ride(s) start at 1:00 p.m., Depot open at 12:30 p.m. for food drop off.

All food donations gratefully accepted, but NOT required.  We will eat what we get.  This should be a low stress, fun event for those folks who still have some energy and time after Christmas and wish a little activity and/or camaraderie with someone other than relatives

If the weather is not to your liking, just show up to see and be seen by your biking buddies.  It is a nice chance to get out of the house, and maybe get some 2018 miles - or not..

In keeping with Oberlin's self-proclaimed leadership of the green movement and to reduce the trash footprint from the event, it is requested, NOT required, that folks bring their own table service and cups.  It forgotten, the usual club potluck supplies will be available, along with water and coffee.

Please be reminded that the Depot rules specify that alcohol is not permitted on the premises.

Ride leaders needed.
